The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ismaila plotted against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan. The SNDi of new construction in Ismaila was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Pakistan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ismaila's incremental SNDi rose from 4.01 to 5.56 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ismaila ranked 14th out of 67 cities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 163rd out of 292 in Pakistan as of 2020.

While Kerakat and Parachinar both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Ismaila built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Kerakat and Parachinar both fluctuated in connectivity, while Ismaila became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Notably, Ismaila had a more sprawly network than Parachinar in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
