The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Gwādar plotted against Balochistan and Pakistan. The SNDi of new construction in Gwādar fell steadily, compared to Balochistan which rose steadily and Pakistan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Gwādar's incremental SNDi fell from 2.82 to 2.8 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Gwādar ranked 4th out of 19 cities in Balochistan and 34th out of 292 in Pakistan as of 2020.

In new street additions, Gwādar built increasingly connected streets over time, while Xing'an fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Juye built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Gwādar became progressively more connected, while Xing'an fluctuated in connectivity and Juye grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Gwādar and Xing'an have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
