The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with 고산리 plotted against P'yŏngan-namdo and North Korea. The SNDi of new construction in 고산리 followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to P'yŏngan-namdo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and North Korea which peaked in 1976-1990. Most recently, 고산리's incremental SNDi rose from 7.2 to 11.97 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, 고산리 ranked 19th out of 21 cities in P'yŏngan-namdo and 87th out of 92 in North Korea as of 2020.

고산리, Kétou, and Nippani all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. For the full network, 고산리 and Nippani both fluctuated in connectivity, while Kétou became progressively more disconnected.
