The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sinchon plotted against Hwanghae-namdo and North Korea. The SNDi of new construction in Sinchon rose steadily, compared to Hwanghae-namdo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and North Korea which peaked in 1976-1990. Most recently, Sinchon's incremental SNDi rose from 5.41 to 6.86 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sinchon ranked 10th out of 15 cities in Hwanghae-namdo and 29th out of 92 in North Korea as of 2020.

For the full network, Sinchon and Montego Bay both became progressively more disconnected, while Zhodzina fluctuated in connectivity. Sinchon and Montego Bay have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
