The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with 전평동 plotted against Chagang-do and North Korea. The SNDi of new construction in 전평동 followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Chagang-do which peaked in 1976-1990 and North Korea which peaked in 1976-1990. Most recently, 전평동's incremental SNDi rose from 6.54 to 10.44 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, 전평동 ranked 3rd out of 4 cities in Chagang-do and 90th out of 92 in North Korea as of 2020.

In new street additions, 전평동 fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Vĩnh Trụ built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Aylesbury built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, 전평동 fluctuated in connectivity, while Vĩnh Trụ became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Aylesbury grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, 전평동 had a more connected network than Vĩnh Trụ in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
