The SNDi of new construction in Nicosia rose steadily, while Northern Cyprus followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nicosia's incremental SNDi rose from 3.56 to 3.82 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nicosia ranked 1st out of 1 in Northern Cyprus as of 2020.

For the full network, Nicosia and Hikone both became progressively more disconnected, while Jaldhaka grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
