The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Chafe plotted against Zamfara and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Chafe peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Zamfara which peaked in 1976-1990 and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Chafe's incremental SNDi fell from 1.92 to 0.86 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Chafe built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Duihawa Sher Bahadur Si fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Bekwai built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Chafe and Bekwai both became progressively more disconnected, while Duihawa Sher Bahadur Si became progressively more disconnected. Chafe and Duihawa Sher Bahadur Si have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
