The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Anka plotted against Zamfara and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Anka peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Zamfara which peaked in 1976-1990 and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Anka's incremental SNDi fell from 2.76 to 1.64 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Anka ranked 5th out of 9 cities in Zamfara and 162nd out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Anka built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Imehejek fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Aranthangi built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Anka grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Imehejek fluctuated in connectivity and Aranthangi became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Anka and Imehejek have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
