The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Damagum plotted against Yobe and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Damagum peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Yobe which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Damagum's incremental SNDi fell from 2.75 to 0.89 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Damagum and Qianyu both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Lanshan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Damagum grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Qianyu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Lanshan became progressively more disconnected. Damagum and Qianyu have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
