The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Oyigbo plotted against Rivers and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Oyigbo peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Rivers which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Oyigbo's incremental SNDi fell from 3.99 to 3.74 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Oyigbo ranked 8th out of 28 cities in Rivers and 273rd out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Oyigbo built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Gorgan built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Karaganda built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Oyigbo and Gorgan both became progressively more disconnected, while Karaganda became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards.
