The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ngo plotted against Rivers and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Ngo peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Rivers which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ngo's incremental SNDi fell from 8.27 to 8.04 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ngo ranked 26th out of 28 cities in Rivers and 416th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Ngo built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Katwa built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Xinmin fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, Katwa and Xinmin both became progressively more disconnected, while Ngo grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Ngo and Katwa have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
