The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Igwuruta plotted against Rivers and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Igwuruta rose steadily, compared to Rivers which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Igwuruta's incremental SNDi rose from 4.97 to 6.32 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Igwuruta ranked 20th out of 28 cities in Rivers and 392nd out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Igwuruta and Satu Mare both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Lubuk Pakam fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Igwuruta and Satu Mare both became progressively more disconnected, while Lubuk Pakam fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Igwuruta had a more connected network than Lubuk Pakam in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
