The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dere plotted against Rivers and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Dere rose steadily, compared to Rivers which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dere's incremental SNDi rose from 3.09 to 4.66 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dere ranked 1st out of 28 cities in Rivers and 94th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dere built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Jacobabad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Grand Rapids built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Dere and Grand Rapids both became progressively more disconnected, while Jacobabad grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Dere and Jacobabad have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
