The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Chara plotted against Rivers and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Chara peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Rivers which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Chara's incremental SNDi fell from 5.02 to 4.21 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Chara ranked 7th out of 28 cities in Rivers and 269th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Chara and Le Mans both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Renala Khurd fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Chara and Le Mans both became progressively more disconnected, while Renala Khurd fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Chara had a more connected network than Renala Khurd in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
