The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Gbongan plotted against Osun and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Gbongan rose steadily, compared to Osun which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Gbongan's incremental SNDi rose from 3.44 to 4.51 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Gbongan ranked 3rd out of 19 cities in Osun and 213th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

While Shouyang and Zhongshan both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Gbongan built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Gbongan and Zhongshan both became progressively more disconnected, while Shouyang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
