The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Oka-Akoko plotted against Ondo and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Oka-Akoko rose steadily, compared to Ondo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Oka-Akoko's incremental SNDi rose from 4.79 to 7.83 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Oka-Akoko ranked 6th out of 17 cities in Ondo and 268th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Oka-Akoko built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Idku built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Swarupnagar built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Oka-Akoko and Idku both became progressively more disconnected, while Swarupnagar became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Oka-Akoko and Idku have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
