The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Akugba plotted against Ondo and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Akugba rose steadily, compared to Ondo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Akugba's incremental SNDi rose from 3.49 to 5.38 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Akugba ranked 7th out of 17 cities in Ondo and 287th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Akugba and Ramanathapuram both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Visnagar built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Akugba and Ramanathapuram both became progressively more disconnected, while Visnagar grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Akugba had a more connected network than Ramanathapuram in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
