What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Iperu built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Pervouralsk built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Meichuan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Iperu and Pervouralsk both became progressively more disconnected, while Meichuan became progressively more connected. Notably, Iperu had a more connected network than Meichuan in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
