The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ilaro plotted against Ogun and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Ilaro rose steadily, compared to Ogun which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ilaro's incremental SNDi rose from 3.46 to 4.63 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ilaro ranked 9th out of 16 cities in Ogun and 263rd out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

Ilaro, Dhar, and Kabba all built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street construction. The same pattern holds for the full street network. Notably, Ilaro had a more sprawly network than Dhar in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
