The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Abeokuta plotted against Ogun and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Abeokuta rose steadily, compared to Ogun which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Abeokuta's incremental SNDi rose from 4.51 to 4.88 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Abeokuta built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Nasiriyah built increasingly connected streets over time and Cheongju-si fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Abeokuta and Cheongju-si both became progressively more disconnected, while Nasiriyah became progressively more connected. Abeokuta and Nasiriyah have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
