The SNDi of new construction in Minna peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Niger which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Minna's incremental SNDi fell from 3.84 to 3.66 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Minna ranked 11th out of 13 cities in Niger and 258th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Minna built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Bhilwara fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Ziyang built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Minna became progressively more disconnected, while Bhilwara fluctuated in connectivity and Ziyang became progressively more connected. Minna and Ziyang have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
