The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ikorodu plotted against Lagos and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Ikorodu rose steadily, compared to Lagos which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ikorodu's incremental SNDi rose from 5.15 to 5.51 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ikorodu ranked 4th out of 7 cities in Lagos and 379th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ikorodu and Barcelona both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Cuttack built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Ikorodu and Barcelona both became progressively more disconnected, while Cuttack grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Ikorodu and Cuttack have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
