The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Zango plotted against Katsina and Nigeria. While Katsina and Nigeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Zango's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Zango's incremental SNDi rose from 2.61 to 3.96 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Zango ranked 14th out of 15 cities in Katsina and 131st out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Zango and Perbaungan both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Tekkeköy built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Looking at the full network, Perbaungan and Tekkeköy both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Zango became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Zango and Tekkeköy have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
