The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kura plotted against Katsina and Nigeria. While Katsina and Nigeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Kura's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kura's incremental SNDi rose from 1.32 to 3.12 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kura ranked 4th out of 15 cities in Katsina and 30th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kura fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Calapan built increasingly connected streets over time and Bani Bakhit built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Kura became progressively more disconnected, while Calapan became progressively more connected and Bani Bakhit became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards.
