The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Funtua plotted against Katsina and Nigeria. While Katsina and Nigeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Funtua's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Funtua's incremental SNDi rose from 1.58 to 2.1 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Funtua ranked 6th out of 15 cities in Katsina and 39th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Funtua fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Ploiești built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Tarija built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Funtua and Ploiești both became progressively more disconnected, while Tarija grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Funtua and Tarija have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
