The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tudun Wada plotted against Kano and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Tudun Wada was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Kano which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tudun Wada's incremental SNDi rose from 1.24 to 1.27 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Tudun Wada built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Mekoni fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Puliyangudi built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Mekoni and Puliyangudi both became progressively more disconnected, while Tudun Wada became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Tudun Wada and Mekoni have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
