The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kafanchan plotted against Kaduna and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Kafanchan rose steadily, compared to Kaduna which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kafanchan's incremental SNDi rose from 3.34 to 3.49 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. For the full network, Kafanchan and Suryapet both became progressively more disconnected, while Qionghai fluctuated in connectivity. Kafanchan and Qionghai have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
