The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kafin Hausa plotted against Jigawa and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Kafin Hausa followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Jigawa which peaked in 1976-1990 and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kafin Hausa's incremental SNDi fell from 3.99 to 1.88 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kafin Hausa ranked 10th out of 11 cities in Jigawa and 157th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kafin Hausa fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Retalhuleu built increasingly disconnected streets over time and At Tafila built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Kafin Hausa fluctuated in connectivity, while Retalhuleu became progressively more disconnected and At Tafila grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Kafin Hausa had a more sprawly network than Retalhuleu in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
