The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Effon Alaiye plotted against Ekiti and Nigeria. While Ekiti and Nigeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Effon Alaiye's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Effon Alaiye's incremental SNDi rose from 3.02 to 6.81 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Effon Alaiye ranked 14th out of 17 cities in Ekiti and 315th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Effon Alaiye and Dingbian both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Kattumannarkoil built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Effon Alaiye fluctuated in connectivity, while Kattumannarkoil became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Dingbian became progressively more disconnected. Effon Alaiye and Kattumannarkoil have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
