The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ekeje plotted against Ebonyi and Nigeria. While Ebonyi and Nigeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Ekeje's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ekeje's incremental SNDi rose from 5.56 to 6.32 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ekeje ranked 9th out of 9 cities in Ebonyi and 395th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ekeje and Datun both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Hamaschkorieb built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Ekeje became progressively more disconnected, while Hamaschkorieb became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Datun fluctuated in connectivity. Ekeje and Hamaschkorieb have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
