The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ughelli plotted against Delta and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Ughelli rose steadily, compared to Delta which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ughelli's incremental SNDi rose from 6.06 to 6.21 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ughelli ranked 18th out of 20 cities in Delta and 385th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ughelli built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Sikandarabad fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Dibrugarh built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Ughelli and Dibrugarh both became progressively more disconnected, while Sikandarabad became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Ughelli and Sikandarabad have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
