The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Abraka plotted against Delta and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Abraka rose steadily, compared to Delta which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Abraka's incremental SNDi rose from 3.75 to 4.44 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Abraka ranked 12th out of 20 cities in Delta and 297th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Abraka built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Tangyin built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Jinghong fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Abraka and Jinghong both became progressively more disconnected, while Tangyin grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Abraka and Tangyin have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
