The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Giade plotted against Bauchi and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Giade peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Bauchi which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Giade's incremental SNDi fell from 2.34 to 1.78 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Giade ranked 3rd out of 13 cities in Bauchi and 85th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Giade built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Jowai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Bahalgarh built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Giade grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Jowai became progressively more disconnected and Bahalgarh became progressively more disconnected.
