The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Azare plotted against Bauchi and Nigeria. While Bauchi and Nigeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Azare's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Azare's incremental SNDi rose from 1.83 to 2.35 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Azare ranked 2nd out of 13 cities in Bauchi and 71st out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Azare fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Bukhara built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Phan Thiết built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Azare became progressively more disconnected, while Bukhara grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Phan Thiết grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Azare and Bukhara have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
