The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Udung Uko plotted against Akwa Ibom and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Udung Uko peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Akwa Ibom which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Udung Uko's incremental SNDi fell from 4.07 to 3.98 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Udung Uko ranked 4th out of 16 cities in Akwa Ibom and 246th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

In new street additions, Udung Uko built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Ksar Chellala fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Mansuriya built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Udung Uko and Ksar Chellala both became progressively more disconnected, while Mansuriya became progressively more connected. Udung Uko and Mansuriya have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
