The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Eket plotted against Akwa Ibom and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Eket rose steadily, compared to Akwa Ibom which rose steadily and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Eket's incremental SNDi rose from 4.49 to 4.99 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Eket ranked 10th out of 16 cities in Akwa Ibom and 303rd out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

While Putuo District and Santa Maria both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Eket built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Eket and Santa Maria both became progressively more disconnected, while Putuo District fluctuated in connectivity.
