The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Numan plotted against Adamawa and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Numan peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Adamawa which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Numan's incremental SNDi fell from 2.59 to 2.52 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Numan ranked 3rd out of 11 cities in Adamawa and 89th out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

While Cili and Yingxian both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, Numan built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved in new street additions. For the full network, Numan and Cili both became progressively more disconnected, while Yingxian fluctuated in connectivity. Numan and Cili have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
