The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Gombi plotted against Adamawa and Nigeria. The SNDi of new construction in Gombi rose steadily, compared to Adamawa which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Nigeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Gombi's incremental SNDi rose from 2.35 to 3.25 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Gombi ranked 2nd out of 11 cities in Adamawa and 32nd out of 422 in Nigeria as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Limoges and Simri both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Gombi built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
