The SNDi of new construction in Filingué followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Tillabéry which peaked in 1976-1990 and Niger which rose steadily. Most recently, Filingué's incremental SNDi rose from 0.78 to 2.32 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Filingué ranked 1st out of 4 cities in Tillabéry and 8th out of 33 in Niger as of 2020.

In new street additions, Filingué and Wujiaqu both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Szombathely built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Filingué fluctuated in connectivity, while Szombathely became progressively more disconnected and Wujiaqu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Filingué and Szombathely have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
