The SNDi of new construction in Tipitapa followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Managua which rose steadily and Nicaragua which rose steadily. Most recently, Tipitapa's incremental SNDi rose from 2.2 to 4.43 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Tipitapa and Kirishima both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Sikhalasenkosi built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend. Tipitapa and Kirishima have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
