The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Simara plotted against Central and Nepal. The SNDi of new construction in Simara followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Central which rose steadily and Nepal which rose steadily. Most recently, Simara's incremental SNDi rose from 4.44 to 5.71 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Simara ranked 7th out of 8 cities in Central and 18th out of 22 in Nepal as of 2020.

In new street additions, Simara and Manica both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Mashimba built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Simara fluctuated in connectivity, while Manica became progressively more disconnected and Mashimba became progressively more connected. Simara and Mashimba have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
