The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kayan plotted against Yangon and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Kayan followed a zig-zag trend, compared to Yangon which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In terms of the aggregate network, Kayan ranked 1st out of 13 cities in Yangon and 19th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kayan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Sertãozinho fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Kwilu-Ngongo built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Kayan fluctuated in connectivity, while Sertãozinho became progressively more disconnected and Kwilu-Ngongo grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
