The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Myeik plotted against Tanintharyi and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Myeik rose steadily, compared to Tanintharyi which rose steadily and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Myeik's incremental SNDi rose from 3.97 to 4.38 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Myeik ranked 2nd out of 4 cities in Tanintharyi and 67th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Myeik built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Xuancheng built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Tundla fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, Xuancheng and Tundla both became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Myeik became progressively more disconnected. Myeik and Xuancheng have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
