The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kawthaung plotted against Tanintharyi and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Kawthaung rose steadily, compared to Tanintharyi which rose steadily and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kawthaung's incremental SNDi rose from 4.46 to 10.61 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kawthaung ranked 3rd out of 4 cities in Tanintharyi and 97th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.
