The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Katha plotted against Sagaing and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Katha rose steadily, compared to Sagaing which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Katha's incremental SNDi rose from 2.22 to 2.71 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Katha ranked 2nd out of 5 cities in Sagaing and 9th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

Katha, Aiyepe, and Xinying District all built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street construction. For the full network, Katha and Xinying District both became progressively more disconnected, while Aiyepe became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Katha and Aiyepe have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
