The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kyauktaw plotted against Rakhine and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Kyauktaw rose steadily, compared to Rakhine which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kyauktaw's incremental SNDi rose from 3.95 to 4.1 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kyauktaw ranked 3rd out of 6 cities in Rakhine and 52nd out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

Kyauktaw, Dorud, and Gwolong all built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street construction. The same pattern holds for the full street network. Notably, Kyauktaw had a more sprawly network than Gwolong in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
