The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kyaukpyu plotted against Rakhine and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Kyaukpyu peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Rakhine which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kyaukpyu's incremental SNDi fell from 7.68 to 6.82 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kyaukpyu ranked 5th out of 6 cities in Rakhine and 102nd out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Kyaukpyu and Ninh Bình both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Achotnica fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Kyaukpyu became progressively more disconnected, while Ninh Bình grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Achotnica fluctuated in connectivity. Kyaukpyu and Ninh Bình have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
