The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mohnyin plotted against Kachin and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Mohnyin rose steadily, compared to Kachin which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Mohnyin's incremental SNDi rose from 3.93 to 4.55 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mohnyin ranked 2nd out of 7 cities in Kachin and 20th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mohnyin built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Takengon built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Purmerend fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Mohnyin became progressively more disconnected, while Takengon grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Purmerend fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Mohnyin had a more connected network than Purmerend in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
