The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Taungoo plotted against Bago and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Taungoo rose steadily, compared to Bago which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Taungoo's incremental SNDi rose from 4.6 to 7.26 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Taungoo ranked 8th out of 13 cities in Bago and 58th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Taungoo and Mbanza-Ngungu both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Kulaura built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Taungoo and Mbanza-Ngungu both became progressively more disconnected, while Kulaura grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Taungoo and Mbanza-Ngungu have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
