The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Pyu plotted against Bago and Myanmar. The SNDi of new construction in Pyu peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Bago which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Myanmar which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Pyu's incremental SNDi fell from 4.58 to 3.99 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Pyu ranked 13th out of 13 cities in Bago and 98th out of 113 in Myanmar as of 2020.

In new street additions, Pyu built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Al Saff fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Kotabaru built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Pyu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Al Saff grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Kotabaru became progressively more disconnected. Pyu and Al Saff have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
